Using lspool to Maintain a Redundant License Server Pool

lspool is a redundant license server administration utility (command-line) for Windows and UNIX. However, if you are running on a Windows computer, you may find using the Windows-interface WlmAdmin program more convenient than using lspool.

lspool Options

The lspool options are:

Option Description

-h

Displays list of lspool usage options.

-a license-server

Add the license server to the redundant license server pool. Specify the host name or IP address of the computer on which the license server resides. Modifies the redundant license file.

-d license-server

Delete a license server from the redundant license server pool. Specify the host name or IP address of the computer on which the license server resides. Modifies the redundant license file.

-l

Display the host name of the leader redundant license server.

-p

Display the list of license servers in the redundant license server pool.

-g feature version

Display the distribution criteria for the specified feature/version. If the version is not specified, it must be replaced with empty quotation marks: " ".

-L

Disable/enable logging for an event. The events you select will be logged into the license server trace log file (only if error logging is enabled, see Enable Tracing to learn more about the trace log levels).

lspool -L Options

Events that may be logged using the -L option are:
